About the Author
Keith Klein CN, CCN is a world renowed nutritionist who has designed programs for TV personalities, Olympic Athletes, NFL football players, bodybuilders, models and people just like you. Keith is the former dietetic director at the Institute of Specialized Medicine in Houston, Texas. He then spent five years treating patients with eating disorders, heart disease and obesity along side Dr. Simms. Through his work with psychiatrists, Keith developed his groundbreaking research "The Psychology of Eating Management." He is the author of hundreds of articles and is a consumer activist that petitions the FDA, FTC and USDA in response to deceptive claims by food manufacturers. Keith owns The Institute of Eating Management & Relapse Prevention Center in Houston where he has practiced for the last 18 years. He has had his own radio show in Houston and other markets for 10 years and has been doing the health beat reporting on MSNBC for the last 3 years and recently switched over to Fox news. Lee Labrada holds 22 professional bodybuilding titles, including Mr. Universe. He is one of only a few men in history to place in the top four at the Mr. Olympia competition (the "Super Bowl" of bodybuilding) for seven consecutive years - a feat he shares with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Last Nutrition Guide you will need, ever!

I can't imagine what you might have been wanting from a diet/nutrition guide for you to give this book a 1 Star review. Then I went to your other reviews and noticed that you didn't give to many products of any kind a high ranking. My confusion was cleared up when I noticed that you gave "Momento" 1 Star also, while you gave "Battlefield Earth" 5 Golden Stars!!!

If you don't like gimmicks, quick fixes or false information on how to get fit then this will be the last nutrition book you will ever buy.

I found this book over 8 years ago and I can tell you that before then I was lost on how to eat healthy. I have since followed Keith Klein's philosophies and I can tell you that they work, plain and simple.

This book gives you straight forward time tested real answers on how to eat. It is really four books in one. It is a no nonsense down to the bone guide to how to feed your body, not starve your body. It is also a recipe book. In the back of this book you get many many recipes on how to cook whole, healthy, good tasting and well balanced meals that will keep you on track so that you don't have to eat chicken breast, broccoli and rice every single meal. You will also learn how to train properly for getting into shape. Lastly this book is a guide to dieting for a contest whether it be a fitness show or bodybuilding contest.

This book goes into all the detail you need to know about what is protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and fats and how your body assimilates them or can or can't use them. It gives you templates in the back of the book on how many calories you should be eating for your given weight and the formula to figuring out your daily caloric intake.

Keith Klein has dedicated his life to nutrition in a real world type of way. I listen to his radio show that is based on all of his beliefs and I would love to see him debate many of the so called nutritional experts that you see on your national morning shows. I have never heard him not have a well educated answer for any question posed to him on his radio show. His knowledge is based in fact and not fiction. Keith is continually challenging the FDA on it's food labeling laws which basically allows for food companies to lie to us and continue to sell you and me unhealthy, high fat and low nutrition foods.

Keith Klein also knows more than anyone I've ever heard speak about the supplements that we should stay away from. His education on this comes from cold hard research and not some holistic brain washing. I've never heard him not know something about whatever supplement product that he might be posed a question about. If he doesn't know then you can give him a laundry list of ingredients in the product and then he can give you the research of those individual ingredients to come to a well educated guess as to whether or not said supplement would work.

If you believe in the old saying of "Let's get down to brass tacks", then this book is for you.

Why believe me? After having our first child my wife went from 19% body fat to 11% body fat in 12 weeks by following the instructions of this book.

Ultimate Information Book

This book combines the knowledge of a top bodybuilder and a top nutritionist. Together they provide all the tools necessary to give you the body you desire. No matter if you are trying to lose weight, bulk up, or both this is the perfect book for you. There is a lot of useful information that will help you no matter your goals. Buy it; you'll be satisfied with your purchase. -Better than Body for Life and Eat Clean Diet.

Amazing results, especially for a 12-week program

One of my girlfriends has this book, and I saw her after she had completed his advice... her arms were chiseled, her abs were lean & "six-pack", and her legs were cellulite-free and seamless. She is the mother of 3 kids (1 + twins), and she has worked out her entire life, but has never achieved these types of results. She mentioned that she has worked out hard in the past (in preparation for fitness competitions) but has only been able to drop her body fat % by 1%. After 12 weeks of this program, along with continuing to workout (of course), she dropped another 11% body fat.

I have not yet tried this book, but I am definitely interested in seeing how I look afterwards! I will come back on here after reading and completing the program, and let you know how it worked for me... but after seeing my friend's results, I have no doubt that it will be great.

She did mention that the diet is pretty boring (but this should come as no surprise... in order to "get lean", you can't go out and eat fatty foods or load up on simple sugars or carbs... common sense). But she said the book is very detailed & well-written on what you should eat, how, and what quantity. We can do anything if we put our minds to it, right? Especially with great instructions such as what is in this book.
