Bearded Wisdom!

I enjoyed Jack Passion's Book. I've been letting my beard grow long for about a year now, and decided I should look into caring for this mess 'o hair on my chin! I've just used shampoo and conditioner before - not any more...The Facial Hair Handbook explains that shampoo strips your hair of important oils your body produces and "when used on your face, can and will cause skin irritation." This is just a small offering amongst the many tips in this book.
This handbook is a quick read.(just over 100 pgs). Alot of info is crammed into those pages, and in a funny way. The author doesnt take things too seriously, which was nice. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking into growing and maintaining a beard/mustache. I gave it three stars because I did genuinely like it, although I do wish it was a bit longer.

Good information but...

I don't usually write many reviews but with so many 5 star reviews I feel this can be a little misleading. I bough this book on my Kindle Fire. The book has some good information on growing and maintaining a beard. But, the book is long on general information and short on specifics. The book makes multiple mentions of the website facialhairhandbook.com for further information. I was excited as there is so many different products and lines out there for the bearded folk, I came home and quickly looked up the website hoping it might help navigate this new inquiry. Imagine my surprise when the website is just one BIG ad for this book with no further info. Every link just brings you back to this Amazon webpage.
So, if you want a general guide to growing a good beard with some good chuckles, the book is definitely worth the read. I just found the fact of someone at the forefront of the bearded revolution not standing behind the product with the information promised in the book a little annoying.

This book has everything you can think of. I have had a beard for about one year. This book has given some really good advice, products, and techniques on growing and keeping your beard looking good. This book is for veterans of the facial hair world as well as all rookies who need a helping hand.
