I had bought this book quite a few years ago from a store in Sundance, Wyoming. Yeah, it was signed, but so what. I started reading it, got to page 72 and the book started over again with title page, table of contents up again to page 72 then skipped to page 147. So, 72 pages on continuous text was missing.
Contacted the store, but since i read the first 72 pages, they refused to take the book back: they called it a collector's item, a misprint. They suggested I contact the National Park Service, which I did. Again, no luck. What a rip off. NPS stated they do not accept purchased books back even though they are aware this happened to many of the books.
I would say that if you wanted to purchase the book, have the seller go through each and every page and make sure they are all there as over time, I have been told by others who bought the book that many pages are missing.
Since the author was cozy with the shop in Sundance, Wyoming and had a family interest in the business, the author has laughed at Wyoming Writers Inc. conferences about the mistake, but refuses even herself to do anything about it. Goes to show what they say about Wyoming ranchers, lol, thieves.
I would not spend a penny to buy this book again, plus the editing, sentence structure, some of the punctuation and grammar was pathetic. You can find the same information by doing and internet search...save your pennies on this book considered a collector's item, lol.
