Dr. Deisinger is a nationally-recognized expert in campus threat assessment and management and has served as the primary threat manager for Iowa State University since creating their team in 1994. Dr. Randazzo is a nationally-recognized expert in threat assessment and threat management. She formerly served as the Chief Research Psychologist for the U.S. Secret Service and now runs Threat Assessment Resources International. This is a must for higher education campuses

I attended a one day training in campus threat assessment that was led by Gene Diesinger and this book was a great follow up. The book explains the how to's very clearly and also examines the limitations of campus threat assessment. This book outlines the legal issues involved, suggests the make-up of a threat assessment team, and so forth. I have emailed with Gene after reading the book and he is very responsive to questions. Bottom line, this book is well worth the purchase price if you work in Student affairs on a college or university campus.
